A SEMESTER-LONG INVESTIGATION OF TADAO ANDO’S KOSHINO HOUSE. WHILE OUR MAIN PROJECT (GROUP, COMPLETED WITH ELIZA TELEPOVA) WAS TO COMPLETE A 1:75 SCALED MODEL OF THE SITE, WE WERE ALSO ASSIGNED INDIVIDUAL COMPOSITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. THESE INCLUDED A FOUND OBJECT ASSEMBLAGE, BAS RELIEF, AND ADDITIONAL PAPER DRAWINGS.
THE SITE ELEMENTS WHICH DROVE MY STUDY INCLUDED: INTERACTION BETWEEN NATURAL AND MAN-MADE SPACE, LIGHT REFRACTION, BOUNDARY, INTERNAL STRUCTURE, AND DISSONANCE BETWEEN GEOMETRIES.
